Homemade Burgers Recipe 4

Welcome back to my blog, and this time I am going to post a recipe which I really had made on 24 March 2013! (Singapore Date) The total score for the burgers were 4.6/5, which is really perfect! I just found out that only a few viewers had seen recipe 3, Mini Penne with Chicken, Cheese and Tomato Sauce. If you are intrested on how to make it, please click here. Ok, let's come to the recipe now.

Equipment:
Cutting board
Knife
Saucepan (we used Happy Call Pan) (the link goes to a blog, posted by a blogger)
Frying spatula

Ingredients:
500g (1lb) (we used 400g for 4 people instead) very lean beef mince (ground beef)
1 large onion, finely chopped (Note: Ask your parents to do the onion, since it will make you tear a little, until I ran out of the kitchen for a while)
2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves (we did not used this)
salt and pepper to taste
4 flat hamburger buns, split into half lengthwise (do this during step 3 and before step 4)
100g (3.5 oz) iceberg lettuce, shredded (we used butterhead instead, looks exactly like lettuce)
tomato sauce (ketchup), chilli sauce or barbecue sauce (the book did not write chilli sauce)
3 firm tomatoes, sliced (into 12 slices)

Steps (* means need adult supervision):
Step 1: Form the beef mince (ground beef) into 4 patties.
Step 2*: Plce 4 patties in a large non-stick frying pan (skillet, Happy Call Pan) over a medium heat.
Step 3*: Top with a little onion, oregano leaves (did not put) and salt and pepper to taste, and press onto the burger. Cook the burgers for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Step 4*: Toast the buns (You don't need to toast it, as we did not), then place lettuce (butterhead), beef patty, sauce (tomato, chilli or barbecue) and slices of tomatoes onto one half of a toasted/not toasted bun.
Step 5: Top with the other half, and serve immediately.

And this is the picture of the yummilicious burger (Btw I don't like butterhead (lettuce) neither onions, so the ingredients are only meat and tomatoes):

That's the end and I hoped you had enjoyed this recipe! Btw, Strawberry Smoothie recipe is coming soon!
